Franklin Park Zoo, August 26, 2010

These are some of the pictures I took today during my visit to the Franklin Park Zoo. What I love about the Franklin Park Zoo is that you can get real up close and personal with pretty much ALL of the animals. Especially, the Lion and the Gorillas. Both being two of my favorite animals every trip to the zoo makes me feel unbelievably excited. It’s like when I enter the zoo, I’m 5 years old again. Plus the fact that I have an extreme love for wild animals is another reason why I just love going to the zoo. I have to admit we stayed at the zoo for four hours today, insane - I KNOW!. Most of the time was spent at the gorilla exhibit. It’s very hard to get a good picture when there are around 50 people gathered around the glass window only separating you inches away from the gorillas. It’s very frustrating when people stand there taking about 10 pictures of the same gorilla and not giving anyone else a chance to get pictures and when you do - the gorilla moves, but nonetheless I got some really good pictures today. None of the pictures above were taken in zoom, except the lower right hand corner one. And my inner amateur photographer is really proud on how they came out.
